The Seattle Fire Department's oral board is a highly structured part of a multi-phase hiring process; it is not a conversational interview. Candidates who pass the initial FireTEAM written exam and a Public Safety Self-Assessment are invited to this stage, with only the top 1,500 scorers moving forward. The interview panel will ask all candidates the exact same set of questions to ensure fairness.
