GeBBS buys RND OptimizAR
GeBBS Healthcare Solutions has acquired RND OptimizAR to combine RND OptimizAR’s DME/HME domain expertise with GeBBS’ technology‑driven RCM capabilities. The buy is framed as adding specialised reimbursement depth and scalable delivery to GeBBS’ revenue‑cycle offerings (JSA advises GeBBS Healthcare Solutions on acquisition of RND OptimizAR).
GeBBS Healthcare Solutions said on March 30 it bought RND OptimizAR, adding a specialist in billing work for home medical equipment and durable medical equipment. (gebbs.com) The buyer did not disclose a price. GeBBS said RND OptimizAR is based in India and focuses on revenue cycle management, the back-office work that turns medical services and equipment orders into paid claims. (gebbs.com) GeBBS said the deal extends its revenue cycle management and risk-adjustment business into the durable medical equipment and home medical equipment segment. RND OptimizAR founder Deepika Karthikeyan Srihari said the combined company will pair her firm’s delivery model with GeBBS’ scale and technology tools. (gebbs.com) Durable medical equipment and home medical equipment suppliers sell items such as wheelchairs, oxygen equipment and other at-home care products, and getting paid often depends on detailed documentation, prior authorizations and insurer-specific billing rules. RND OptimizAR markets itself as a revenue cycle partner for those suppliers and says it handles work from patient intake to denial management and payment posting. (rndoptimizar.com) That niche helps explain the deal. GeBBS said it wants to use RND OptimizAR’s depth in that segment alongside GeBBS’ artificial-intelligence-led platforms, workflow automation tools and broader delivery network. (gebbs.com) The acquisition also adds another India footprint for GeBBS. Mergr, a mergers-and-acquisitions database, lists RND OptimizAR in Coimbatore and calls this GeBBS’ first transaction in India and its second deal in business services. (mergr.com) GeBBS said it has a global workforce of more than 14,000 people and is backed by EQT and ChrysCapital. On its website, RND OptimizAR says it has worked in healthcare revenue cycle management since 1999 and has more than 2,500 in-house staff. (gebbs.com) (rndoptimizar.com) Indian law firm JSA said on April 10 that it advised GeBBS on the transaction, with partner Anand Lakra leading the mandate. The firm said the deal team also included partner Niharika Mepani, principal associates Ami Shah and Jinay Shah, senior associate Anamika Ballewar, and associates Pranjal Shorey, Janhavi Jagtap, Rahi Barfiwala and Viraja Shah. (jsalaw.com) (barandbench.com) For GeBBS, the bet is that a bigger platform can win more of the billing work tied to complex at-home equipment claims. For RND OptimizAR, the sale folds a Coimbatore-based specialist into a larger healthcare outsourcing company that is pushing deeper into automation-led collections and reimbursement.
