Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Adds Snake

Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege unveiled its Year 11 roadmap featuring Solid Snake as a playable operator and the return of Bishop from Rainbow Six Vegas 2. The update aims to be the biggest in Siege history, bringing back major fan-favorite maps and characters from the franchise's legacy.

- The new operator, Solid Snake, introduces a unique gadget called the Soliton Radar MKIII, which displays a mini-map of the immediate floor plan and detects the position and facing direction of nearby enemies. - Snake also has a passive ability called On-Site Procurement, allowing him to scavenge secondary gadgets from fallen operators, and he comes equipped with a new suppressed sidearm, the TACIT .45. - The crossover includes a limited-time 4v4 event called "[REDACTED]" and cosmetic skins that will transform existing operators Jackal into Gray Fox and Ash into Meryl. - Bishop's return is a nod to the franchise's history, as he was the player-controlled protagonist in the 2008 title *Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2*. - Year 11 Season 2 will introduce a brand new map, Calypso Casino, which pays homage to the iconic Las Vegas setting from the *Vegas* series of games. - The operator Dokkaebi is scheduled for a major rework in Season 2, changing her into a "high-pressure intel-denial Attacker" and giving her a new primary weapon. - Season 3 will introduce a new Defender codenamed "Firework" whose gadget is designed to directly counter shield-bearing operators. - Future updates throughout the year include a rework of the Hostage game mode for competitive play, a new social hub, and a "Testing Grounds" playlist to trial experimental features like half-wall reinforcements.
