Street Art Mural Unveiled in Covington

The "Pineapple on Pizza" mural is part of Rust-Oleum's "Spray It Forward" program, which supports up to 10 murals nationwide in 2025. The program provides artists and organizations with paint to bring their visions to life. Rust-Oleum created the "Spray It Forward" program to empower communities to tell their stories and transform their spaces. The mural was created by Kentucky-based art collective Often Seen Rarely Spoken (OSRS). OSRS designed the mural to reflect Covington's grit, history, and creative momentum. The imagery includes a crushed can symbolizing reinvention, lemon slices suggesting new energy, and a freight train nodding to Covington's railroad history. The mural is located on the building of The Gruff, a Covington pizzeria. A public celebration of the mural was held at The Gruff on January 28. Representatives from The Gruff, ArtsWave, and Rust-Oleum attended the unveiling.
