Beaches Resort Turks Expansion Opens

Beaches Resort Turks & Caicos just opened Treasure Beach Village with 101 new rooms, an infinity lagoon pool, swim-up bar, and 'Starfish Cinema' for family movie nights. The expansion includes a swim-up snow cone bar and targets larger families with upgraded suites.

The new Treasure Beach Village is a $150 million investment, officially opening on March 1, 2026. This expansion adds a sixth village to the sprawling resort, which originally began when the Sandals group purchased and finished a partially-built Sheraton project in the 1990s. With the new 101 multi-bedroom suites, the resort's total room count now stands at 858. The expansion specifically targets multigenerational travel, offering large-capacity accommodations like the three-story, four-bedroom CrystalSky Reserve Villas, which can host up to 10 guests and feature private pools and rooftop telescopes. This project is part of a much larger strategy by parent company Sandals Resorts International. Executive Chairman Adam Stewart announced a nearly $1 billion investment to double the Beaches brand's footprint, with new resorts planned for Barbados, Jamaica, and Exuma in the Bahamas. The expansion comes as Turks and Caicos experiences a tourism boom, with the islands welcoming nearly two million visitors in 2024, combining air and cruise arrivals. Tourism is the primary driver of the nation's economy, and accommodation occupancy rates are the highest in the Caribbean region.
