Yosemite for easy spring hikes

Yosemite’s spring pitch is simple: some of its best waterfall views are reachable on walks that take 20 to 30 minutes, not all day. In spring and early summer, the park says the footbridge near the base can be wet from spray. The falls drop 620 feet and are described by the park as especially loud in spring. (nps.gov) Mirror Lake is a longer but still low-barrier option. The first mile is a paved service road to the lake, and the full loop follows Tenaya Creek; the park also notes the lake is seasonal and often shrinks to “Mirror Meadow” by late summer. The park says spring is the best season for waterfalls, with peak runoff typically arriving in May or June, and current conditions posted this week said Yosemite Falls, Vernal Fall, Nevada Fall, and Bridalveil Fall are flowing high. Visit California published a 2026 Coachella guide on April 10, and Travel and Tour World has separately pointed to Yosemite as a post-festival stop as the state tries to extend desert trips into broader California itineraries.
