Harry Styles Drops Double Album
Harry Styles just released his new album *Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.* alongside the single *American Girls* — part of a massive wave of new releases that exploded on social media with 18,664 likes and nearly 2M views. The album leans into 70s disco shimmer while keeping his pop instincts sharp, marking his most retro-influenced work yet.
The new album marks Styles' first release in four years, following the Grammy-winning *Harry's House*. Recording sessions for the 12-track album took place across Europe, including at London's Abbey Road Studios and Berlin's Hansa Studios, with frequent collaborators Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson producing. Inspiration for the album's sound was diverse, with Styles citing bands like The Durutti Column and LCD Soundsystem as influences. Thematically, the single "American Girls" was inspired by watching his three closest friends get married, prompting him to reflect on his own life and relationships. The album features a number of collaborators. Ellie Rowsell of the band Wolf Alice provides background vocals on three tracks, while Tom Skinner, drummer for the experimental jazz group Sons Of Kemet and Radiohead's side project The Smile, also contributes. In support of the album, Styles has announced a new series of concert residencies called "Together, Together." The tour will include a notable 12-night run at London's Wembley Stadium.
