UCLA Women Dominate for Back-to-Back Titles

No. 2 UCLA crushed Iowa 96-45 to win their second straight Big Ten Tournament championship. Kiki Rice earned Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors with 15 points and 8 assists, while Gianna Kneepkens added 19 points in the commanding victory. The 51-point margin showcases UCLA's national title credentials.

The Bruins' 51-point dismantling of Iowa set a new record for the largest margin of victory in a Big Ten Tournament championship game. This historic win also marked the first time in program history that UCLA has secured back-to-back postseason conference titles. UCLA's dominant season culminated in winning both the Big Ten regular-season and tournament championships in the same year, another first for the program. The team finished with a stellar 31-1 record, riding a 25-game winning streak into the NCAA Tournament. The victory over ninth-ranked Iowa was not only a tournament record but also the largest margin of victory over an AP Top 10 ranked team during the NCAA era. The Bruins' stifling defense held the Hawkeyes to just five points in the first quarter and a mere 25% shooting from the field in the first half. While Kiki Rice earned Most Outstanding Player honors, the scoring was a balanced effort with six Bruins reaching double figures. This included all five starters and a significant contribution from freshman Sienna Betts, who scored a season-high 14 points off the bench.
