New AI Glucose Monitors Launch in India

Zydus Lifesciences launched new AI-powered continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) in India: Diasens™ and GlucoLive™. These enable real-time data streaming and integration with digital health apps, providing actionable visualizations of glucose trends. Patients and clinicians gain remote monitoring and AI analytics for early intervention.

Zydus' Diasens™ utilizes a reusable sensor, reducing the cost per test to a claimed ₹99, while GlucoLive™ offers a traditional single-use sensor model. Both CGMs sync glucose data every 5 minutes to a linked mobile app. The launch aligns with the Indian government's push to expand diabetes care access, where an estimated 8.8% of the population (over 77 million people) lives with diabetes. Zydus aims to capture a significant share of the growing glucose monitoring market, projected to reach \$450 million by 2025. Zydus anticipates that the AI-driven insights will enable more personalized treatment plans and improve patient adherence, potentially reducing long-term healthcare costs associated with diabetes complications. The company is partnering with healthcare providers and digital health platforms to integrate the CGMs into existing diabetes management programs.
