Chef Prasad's "Desi Eats" menu is inspired by a nine-month culinary journey through 12 regions of India, covering 15,200 kilometers. The menu, Dhoom's 13th since 2018, showcases Chef Prasad's favorite dishes adapted for Scottish diners. The new 10-course tasting menu launched on March 4 and features dishes like Veg Bhajia from Kolkata (crispy vegetable pakora) and Paneer Tikka Makhanwala from Delhi (Indian cottage cheese with tomato sauce). Mumbai is represented by Chowpatty Sev Puri Chaat, a tangy dish with crispy papdi, mint, and tamarind sauce. Other dishes include Lamb Laal Maans from Rajasthan (a slow-cooked lamb curry) and Aloo Corn Chop from Bengal, plus a Robibarer Goat Mangshan Jhol. The Konkan Coast inspires a Kokum Fish Curry, flavored with kokum fruit. Diners can also try Pesto Lamb Chapli Kebab, a grilled dish from Lucknow, and Dal Masoor, a lentil dish dedicated to Chef Prasad's mother. Dhoom's seven-course lunch taster menu costs £19.95, while the ten-course dinner menu is £32.95. Dhoom, meaning "celebration," opened in Dunfermline in 2018 and is known for its authentic tapas-style Indian street food. Owner Dhaneshwar Prasad previously opened 52 restaurants worldwide and travels to India for culinary inspiration. Dhoom changes its menu every six months to represent a different region of India. In February 2026, Dhoom won the Dunfermline and Dollar Community Award for its service and contribution to the community. The restaurant also won Street Food Restaurant of the Year at the 2025 Scottish Curry Awards.
