Infosys and Anthropic Target Regulated Industries with AI
Infosys and Anthropic have announced a collaboration to deploy Anthropic’s Claude AI models in highly regulated sectors. The partnership will use the Infosys Topaz™ platform to help automate complex workflows in industries such as finance, telecommunications, and manufacturing, where compliance and accuracy are critical.
- A core focus of the collaboration is on "agentic AI," which involves creating systems that can independently handle multi-step tasks like processing insurance claims or managing compliance reviews, using tools like the Claude Agent SDK. - The Infosys Topaz platform brings significant existing infrastructure to the partnership, including over 12,000 AI assets, more than 150 pre-trained AI models, and at least 10 specialized AI platforms. - Anthropic's CEO, Dario Amodei, stated that there is a "big gap" between an AI model that works in a demo and one that functions effectively in a regulated industry, highlighting the need for Infosys's domain expertise. - The partnership will launch with a dedicated Anthropic Center of Excellence focused specifically on the telecommunications sector before expanding to other industries. - In financial services, the collaboration aims to develop AI agents that can accelerate risk detection, automate compliance reporting, and offer more personalized financial advice based on a client's account history and market conditions. - For the manufacturing and engineering sectors, the initiative will use Claude AI to help speed up product design and simulation, which can reduce research and development timelines. - The collaboration will specifically leverage Anthropic's "Claude Code" model to assist in writing, testing, and debugging software, aiming to accelerate the modernization of legacy systems. - This partnership was announced shortly after Anthropic opened its first office in India, a country that represents the second-largest market for its Claude.ai service.
