Baby Keem Drops New Album
Baby Keem released his new album *CA$INO* featuring Kendrick Lamar, Che Ecru, Momo Boyd, and Too $hort. The album dropped as part of New Music Friday (Feb 20) alongside Larry June/Curren$y/The Alchemist's *Spiral Staircases* and Mozzy & EST Gee's *Not A Chance In Hell*.
- *CA$INO* is the follow-up to Keem's debut studio album, *The Melodic Blue*, which was released on September 10, 2021, and peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 chart. - The collaboration with his cousin Kendrick Lamar follows their 2022 Grammy Award-winning track "Family Ties," which won for Best Rap Performance. This was Baby Keem's first Grammy win. - Keem is a partner with pgLang, a multidisciplinary media company founded by Kendrick Lamar and former Top Dawg Entertainment president Dave Free in 2020. - In 2023, Keem and Lamar began performing as a duo called "The Hillbillies," releasing a single of the same name and headlining the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival. - Featured artist Too $hort is a pioneering West Coast rapper from Oakland who began his recording career in 1983 and released a series of platinum-selling albums in the late 1980s and 1990s. - Che Ecru, a singer and producer from Boston, co-wrote Chris Brown and Drake's 2019 hit "No Guidance," which sampled his 2018 track "Before I Die." - Momo Boyd is a singer-songwriter and member of the New York-based family soft-rock group Infinity Song, which was signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label in 2016.
