Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann has expressed interest in creating a successor to the Huracan Sterrato, building on the success of the limited-edition off-road supercar. Winkelmann believes the Sterrato embodies Lamborghini's spirit of being unexpected while staying authentic. The Huracan Sterrato, launched in 2023, was introduced near the end of the Huracan's life cycle. Its success has opened Lamborghini's eyes to the potential of similar models. Lamborghini's sales and marketing chief, Federico Foschini, indicated that the company might launch more adventurous models, suggesting the market is receptive to such ideas. This could extend beyond the Huracan's replacement, the Temerario, to include models like the Revuelto or Urus. While there are no immediate plans for a Sterrato successor, Winkelmann hasn't ruled it out. Lamborghini typically follows a roadmap of closed, open, and performance versions for new models, suggesting a potential Sterrato-like variant could emerge in a few years.
