Netflix's 'Esa Noche': Moral Thriller

The series, which premiered on Netflix on March 13, 2026, is adapted from Gillian McAllister's novel *That Night*. Jason George created the show, with Lara Sendim co-writing the scripts. Directors include Jorge Dorado and Liliana Torres. The story centers on Elena (Clara Galle), who accidentally hits a man with her car during a family vacation in the Dominican Republic and enlists the help of her sisters, Paula (Claudia Salas) and Cris (Paula Usero). The series explores the moral question of how far one would go to protect their family. Each 45-minute episode reveals more of the family secret from a different sister's perspective, highlighting themes of responsibility, guilt, and the fracturing of loyalty. The production was filmed in both the Dominican Republic and Spain.
