Paris Baguette Opens New Texas Location

The global bakery café chain Paris Baguette opened its newest location in Richardson, Texas, on February 27. The opening is part of the brand's rapid U.S. expansion strategy. The new café is located on Campbell Rd. and is operated by a group of four local franchisees.

The new Richardson café is the 25th Paris Baguette in Texas, operated by two local couples: Sweta Goyal and Puneet Mittal, and Mamta and Rajneesh Singhal. This opening is part of a five-unit development agreement these franchisees have for the North Texas area. The global bakery chain, which originated in South Korea in 1988, is owned by the SPC Group. It has over 4,000 locations worldwide, with the vast majority in South Korea. Paris Baguette is in the midst of a major North American expansion, aiming to reach 1,000 locations in the U.S. by 2030. The company had over 280 locations in North America as of February 2026. To support this rapid growth, the company is investing $160 million in a new 260,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Burleson, Texas. This plant, expected to begin production in 2027, will create 450 jobs. The brand's aggressive growth strategy has resulted in 19 consecutive quarters of positive same-store sales. In 2025, the company opened 77 new cafés in North America and signed nearly 300 new development agreements. A key part of the chain's appeal is a store redesign that creates an "immersive experience" where customers can see bakers and cake decorators at work. This "theatre" concept is a focus of the newer cafes.
