Four Seasons Hotel Osaka will hand its dining room to Hangzhou’s Jin Sha for five nights in June, bringing a Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant into the city for a short residency. (webwire.com) The collaboration is scheduled for June 11 through June 15 at Jiang Nan Chun, the hotel’s signature Chinese restaurant on the 37th floor. Four Seasons says Jin Sha will present Jiangsu-Zhejiang cuisine during the run. (webwire.com) (fourseasons.com) Jin Sha, at Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake, retained one Michelin star in the 2026 Michelin Guide for Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang on April 10. Four Seasons said that was the restaurant’s fourth consecutive year with the distinction. (press.fourseasons.com) (guide.michelin.com) The Osaka side of the pairing already has Michelin recognition of its own. The Michelin Guide lists Jiang Nan Chun as a Michelin-selected restaurant, and Four Seasons says the hotel itself holds one Michelin Key. (guide.michelin.com 1) (guide.michelin.com 2) That puts the pop-up inside a hotel that opened only on August 1, 2024 and has been using food as part of its pitch to international travelers. Four Seasons said at launch that the property would anchor its Osaka debut with “authentic Chinese cuisine” and other destination dining. (press.fourseasons.com) The format is increasingly familiar in luxury travel: hotels use short residencies, guest-chef dinners and imported restaurant brands to turn a meal into a booking draw. Four Seasons has been building that strategy in Osaka with chef-led promotions at Jiang Nan Chun and other outlets since the hotel’s first year. (fourseasons.com) (press.fourseasons.com) Jin Sha’s appeal is tied to a specific regional style rather than a generic “Chinese” label. Michelin describes the Hangzhou restaurant’s cooking as Zhejiang neo-classics with modern touches, while Four Seasons frames the kitchen around seasonal Jiangsu-Zhejiang traditions. (guide.michelin.com) (press.fourseasons.com) For Osaka diners, the event compresses that experience into less than a week. For Four Seasons, it gives a hotel not yet two years old another reason to compete on restaurants as much as rooms. (webwire.com) (press.fourseasons.com)
