Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” is still charting nearly two years after release, with the track sitting at No. 18 overall in one current ranking and leading the female-solo field. (officialcharts.com) Official Charts lists the song as a May 17, 2024 release from *Hit Me Hard and Soft*, written by Eilish and Finneas O’Connell. In the United Kingdom, it debuted at No. 9 and later climbed to a No. 2 peak on the Official Singles Chart. (officialcharts.com) The album that produced it opened at No. 1 in the U.K. and posted 67,100 chart units in its first week, the biggest opening week of Eilish’s career there. Three songs from the album entered the U.K. singles chart in release week: “Lunch” at No. 2, “Chihiro” at No. 7, and “Birds of a Feather” at No. 9. (officialcharts.com) The song had already proved it could travel beyond one market. In August 2024, Billboard reported that “Birds of a Feather” became Eilish’s first No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts. (billboard.com) Billboard said the track topped the Global 200 with 78.8 million streams and 7,000 sales worldwide in the week of Aug. 2-8, 2024. On the Global Excl. U.S. chart, it led with 57.3 million streams and 3,000 sales outside the United States in the same tracking week. (billboard.com) That staying power has outlasted the album’s launch cycle. Official Charts says *Hit Me Hard and Soft* was the fifth biggest album of 2024 in the U.K., and its chart page shows the album was still appearing on the Official Albums Chart in April 2026. (officialcharts.com) The song’s run also fits Eilish’s broader streaming scale. Spotify’s artist page showed 83.9 million monthly listeners when it was crawled on April 22, 2026, a sign that her catalog remains one of the platform’s largest even as the 2024 album ages. (open.spotify.com) The album campaign started before release with a surprise Coachella DJ set in April 2024, where Official Charts says Eilish previewed songs including “Lunch.” Two years later, “Birds of a Feather” is still doing the steadier job pop labels want most: staying on the board after the first rush passes.
