Patriots Hiking 2026 Ticket Prices
The New England Patriots will raise the majority of their season-ticket prices for the 2026 season. The move reflects a league-wide trend of franchises leveraging strong demand and recent stadium investments to increase revenue.
The average ticket price will climb by just over 7%, though less than 15% of all seats will see a price hike greater than 10%. This marks the second time in four years the team has increased prices on a majority of tickets, a move that was only made twice since 2008. The most significant price increases will impact premium locations, specifically the first seven rows of the midfield sections in the 300 level. Despite the overall rise, the team will maintain its lowest average ticket price at $89 for home games, which includes preseason contests. The Patriots currently have the eighth-highest average ticket prices in the NFL. This revenue adjustment follows a significant private investment in Gillette Stadium by the Kraft family, who funded a $250 million renovation. The multi-year project, completed in 2025, introduced a new 22-story lighthouse and the largest outdoor videoboard in the NFL. The price hike aligns with actions from other NFL franchises; the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears have also announced ticket price increases for the 2026 season. The Bears will implement an average increase of 13.5% after a playoff appearance. Financially, the Patriots stand as the NFL's sixth most profitable team, with an operating income of $222 million. The franchise's valuation places them among the top teams in a league where the average team value is $7.1 billion. Gillette Stadium is also preparing to host 2026 FIFA World Cup matches, which necessitates further modifications. These upgrades include the temporary removal of corner seats and replacing the artificial turf with natural grass to meet FIFA standards.
