GeBBS Healthcare Solutions said on March 30 that it acquired RND OptimizAR, an India-based medical-billing specialist focused on durable medical equipment and home medical equipment. (gebbs.com) The price was not disclosed. GeBBS said RND OptimizAR was advised by Novistra Capital, and Indian law firms JSA Advocates & Solicitors and Fox & Mandal later disclosed roles on the deal. (gebbs.com) (law.asia) Revenue cycle management is the billing and collections work that turns a patient visit or equipment order into insurer payment. RND OptimizAR says it handles tasks from insurance verification to denial management for hospitals, clinics, and medical-equipment suppliers. (rndoptimizar.com) The niche matters because durable medical equipment and home medical equipment suppliers face their own billing rules, documentation checks, and Medicare compliance steps. GeBBS said the deal adds that specialty to its broader business serving healthcare providers and payers. (rndoptimizar.com) (gebbs.com) GeBBS has been changing owners and expanding at the same time. EQT said in September 2024 that it agreed to buy a controlling stake in GeBBS from ChrysCapital and planned to support more acquisitions as part of the company’s growth strategy. (eqtgroup.com) In that 2024 announcement, EQT described GeBBS as a provider of revenue cycle management, health information management, and medical billing services for United States healthcare customers. The firm also said the global revenue cycle management market was still fragmented and growing at a double-digit rate. (eqtgroup.com) RND OptimizAR pitches itself as a larger staffing and outsourcing platform than a narrow boutique. Its website says it has worked since 1999 and deploys more than 2,500 in-house full-time equivalents across revenue-cycle projects. (rndoptimizar.com) GeBBS framed the combination as a way to pair RND OptimizAR’s equipment-market expertise with GeBBS’ technology and artificial-intelligence tools. That is the playbook many healthcare outsourcing firms are following as buyers look for scale in billing, coding, and collections. (gebbs.com) (eqtgroup.com) For customers, the immediate change is simple: a bigger GeBBS now owns another specialist in the back-office work behind medical-equipment claims. The next test is whether GeBBS turns that added niche into faster payments and fewer denied claims. (gebbs.com) (rndoptimizar.com)
