Epic Space Opera Gets Fresh Praise

*The Stars Entwined* by Jon Del Arroz, the first in the Aryshan War series, is being praised as essential for epic space opera fans. Meanwhile, J.C. Gemmell's dystopian sci-fi *In the Fullness of Tion* is getting buzz for high tension. Both releases are gaining traction among sci-fi readers looking for new series to dive into.

Jon Del Arroz's "The Stars Entwined" has its roots in the author's high school passion for classic *Star Trek*, evolving from fan fiction into an original space opera. Del Arroz, a #1 Amazon bestselling author, has been called "the leading Hispanic voice in science fiction" by PJ Media. The Aryshan War series kicks off as humanity teeters on the brink of interstellar conflict with the alien Aryshan Empire. The story follows Lieutenant Sean Barrows, a naval officer recruited for espionage who must undergo genetic modification to infiltrate the telepathic alien species. The series continues with "The Stars Asunder" (2020) and "The Stars Rejoined" (2021). J.C. Gemmell's "In the Fullness of Tion" is a collection of nine short stories set within a meticulously planned dystopian world. The setting, Tion, is an artificial construct built to save humanity after a climate catastrophe caused sea levels to rise sixty meters. The society of Tion is rigidly divided into a tiered caste system, with social standing determined by wealth and status. Gemmell, a British independent author, explores themes of technological dependency, social injustice, and humanity's struggle in a world where many prefer a virtual community to reality.
