The New York Giants published their full 2026 regular-season schedule on May 20, giving John Harbaugh his first full roadmap since taking over in January as the franchise’s 21st head coach. The schedule opens with a home game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 13 at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC and closes in Week 18 with a home game against the Philadelphia Eagles at a time still to be determined. (giants.com) Giants.com said Harbaugh is pursuing the team’s first division title since 2011 and first playoff appearance since 2022. The team site also said Harbaugh enters the season seven wins short of 200 total career victories. ### When does the Harbaugh era officially start? (giants.com) Sept. 13 is the date of Harbaugh’s regular-season debut with the Giants, and it will come in prime time against an NFC East rival. Giants.com said the opener against Dallas will be played at MetLife Stadium on Sunday Night Football, echoing how Harbaugh’s first game as Baltimore’s head coach in 2008 also came at home against a division opponent. Week 2 keeps the spotlight on the Giants. The schedule sends them to Los Angeles to face the Rams on Sept. 21 at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN, giving the club back-to-back prime-time games to begin the season. (giants.com) ### How many prime-time games did the Giants get? Four prime-time games appear on the 2026 schedule, according to the team site. In addition to the Week 1 Cowboys game and Week 2 trip to the Rams, the Giants host the Washington Commanders on Nov. 12 at 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video and visit the Detroit Lions on Dec. 28 at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN and ESPN Deportes. Week 18 remains unsettled. (giants.com) The Eagles visit MetLife Stadium to end the regular season, but the NFL has not yet assigned a kickoff time or broadcast window for that game. ### Where does the schedule look toughest? (giants.com) The Giants’ Week 8 bye falls after a seven-game opening stretch. After that break, they go on the road to face Philadelphia in Week 9, then later travel to Seattle in Week 14, Detroit in Week 16 and Dallas in Week 17. Giants.com noted Harbaugh owns a 15-3 record in games immediately following a bye week. Seattle and Detroit stand out late in the year. The Seahawks are the defending Super Bowl champions, and the Lions game is one of the club’s four prime-time slots. (giants.com) Giants.com also noted that Seattle coach Mike Macdonald previously worked under Harbaugh in Baltimore. (giants.com) ### Which home dates stand out beyond the opener? MetLife Stadium will host nine regular-season games, including home dates against Tennessee on Sept. 27, Arizona on Oct. 4, New Orleans on Oct. 18, Jacksonville on Nov. 22, San Francisco on Dec. 6 and Cleveland on Dec. 20. Washington visits East Rutherford on Nov. 12 for the Giants’ lone home prime-time game after the opener. (giants.com) Week 3 carries one notable reunion. Giants.com said the Sept. 27 game against the Titans will mark the first meeting with former Giants head coach Brian Daboll, now Tennessee’s offensive coordinator. (giants.com) ### What else is already set besides the regular season? The Giants’ preseason schedule is also posted. Minnesota visits MetLife Stadium on Aug. 15, the Giants go to Miami on Aug. 22, and they finish the preseason against the Jets on Aug. 28 at MetLife Stadium. Aug. 15 is the first game date on the club’s 2026 calendar, and Sept. 13 is the first regular-season checkpoint for Harbaugh, Dak Prescott’s Cowboys and a Giants team opening the year with two straight national television windows.
