Ten songs from BTS’s *Arirang* stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 for a second straight week, keeping the group unusually deep on the United States singles chart. (ca.news.yahoo.com) Yahoo News Canada reported on April 12 that three songs from the album fell off the Hot 100 after the first week, leaving 10 holdovers from the 13 tracks that debuted there on the chart dated April 4. Billboard said all 13 songs had entered the Hot 100 in that opening frame. (ca.news.yahoo.com) (billboard.com) Billboard said BTS placed four *Arirang* songs in the Hot 100’s top 40 in the debut week, led by “Swim” at No. 1. The same chart run also sent BTS back to No. 1 on the Artist 100. (billboard.com) The chart burst came with a larger comeback. Billboard said *Arirang* was BTS’s first studio album of new music since 2020, and Leila Cobo reported on April 8 that the release followed the group’s nearly four-year hiatus. (billboard.com 1) (billboard.com 2) The album is also holding on the Billboard 200. Billboard reported on April 12 that *Arirang* earned a third consecutive week at No. 1, after debuting with 641,000 equivalent album units on the April 4 chart and then spending a second week on top. (billboard.com 1) (billboard.com 2) (ca.news.yahoo.com) “Swim” is carrying much of the singles momentum. Billboard said the track opened at No. 1 on the Hot 100, and Yahoo News Canada reported on April 9 that it held at No. 16 on Pop Airplay in its second week there. (billboard.com) (ca.news.yahoo.com) BTS’s return has also extended several of the group’s chart records. Billboard said *Arirang* became the group’s seventh No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while “Swim” added another Hot 100 chart-topper to their catalog. (billboard.com) For now, the clearest sign of the comeback’s staying power is not just one hit single. It is that, two weeks in, BTS still has 10 songs from one album occupying the Hot 100 at once.
