Holy City Homegrown Festival Returns
Tyler Boone announced the 4th Holy City Homegrown Festival returning to Charleston Pour House, sponsored by Homegrown Boone's Bourbon and Beer. The festival announcement comes as house music enthusiasts are sharing new releases including djadamt's 'My House has Everything Progressive Pt 11' on SoundCloud and ethereal organic house tracks at 120 BPM for deep work sessions.
The Holy City Homegrown Festival has previously been a platform for a variety of local and regional talent. The inaugural festival in July 2022 was held at Holy City Brewing and featured a lineup that included reggae rock group Sun Dried Vibes, singer-songwriter Emily Curtis, and local duo Finnegan Bell, alongside headliner Tyler Boone. That first event also marked the special release of Boone's Beer, a collaboration between Holy City Brewery and Boone's Bourbon. For its second year, the festival moved to The Refinery, another Charleston venue. The September 2023 event featured performances by Stop Light Observations, Sexbruise?, Little Bird, and Tyler Boone himself. This history showcases the festival's commitment to showcasing a diverse range of musical acts from the Charleston area. The festival's founder, Tyler Boone, is a musician who has expanded his brand into the beverage industry. His "Homegrown" Boone's Bourbon has gained recognition, including being named one of the "Top 6 Best Bourbons in the World" by Forbes Magazine. The bourbon and beer are central to the festival's identity and sponsorship. The choice of the Charleston Pour House for the 4th iteration of the festival marks a significant change. The Pour House, located on James Island, is a well-established hub for live music in the Charleston area, known for its intimate setting and dedicated local following. The venue features both an indoor main stage and an outdoor deck stage, offering a different atmosphere compared to the festival's previous locations. The Charleston music scene, in which this festival is rooted, is known for its diversity, spanning genres from jazz to indie rock. Venues like the Pour House are integral to this landscape, providing a stage for both established and emerging artists. The Holy City Homegrown Festival adds to this vibrant scene by specifically highlighting "homegrown" talent.
