Clinton-Epstein Transcripts Unsealed

Recently unsealed deposition transcripts involving Hillary Clinton and the late Jeffrey Epstein are highlighting a political shift within the Democratic Party. Observers note that the details underscore the Clintons' diminishing influence. The party's base and leadership are seen as increasingly distancing themselves from figures associated with past controversies ahead of the 2026 midterms.

While Hillary Clinton stated in her deposition that she did not recall ever meeting Jeffrey Epstein, her husband's connection to the disgraced financier dates back to the 1990s. After leaving office, Bill Clinton traveled on Epstein's private jet for charitable trips. Flight logs show the former president took four trips on Epstein's plane between 2002 and 2003, with destinations in Europe, Asia, and Africa. A spokesperson for Bill Clinton has maintained that he was accompanied by staff and Secret Service on these trips and knew nothing of Epstein's "terrible crimes". The former president has stated he has not spoken with Epstein in over a decade and has denied ever visiting Epstein's private island, Little St. James. In a 2015 email, Epstein himself claimed Bill Clinton had never been to the island. The move to compel testimony from the former first couple has highlighted a generational and ideological divide within the Democratic party. Nine House Democrats joined with Republicans in a committee vote to hold Bill Clinton in contempt of Congress for initially defying a subpoena, a clear signal that the Clintons no longer command universal loyalty within the party. This erosion of unified support suggests a broader move by some Democrats to distance the party from the controversies of its past. Younger and more progressive members of the party have indicated their focus is on uncovering the truth rather than maintaining allegiance to past party leaders. The full transcripts and video of the closed-door depositions are expected to be released to the public after a review by the Clintons' attorneys.
