Paris Fashion Week: Decoding Lanvin

Lanvin's Fall/Winter 2026/27 show in Paris juxtaposes classic Parisian tailoring with bold, forward-thinking silhouettes and sustainable textiles Lanvin | Fall/Winter 2026/27 | Paris Fashion Week - 4K. Observers say Lanvin's blending heritage with innovation and showing a move toward ESG priorities.

Lanvin's FW26 collection, presented at the Galerie de la Géologie et de la Minéralogie, is Artistic Director Peter Copping's expansion of creative interchanges, a dialogue between generations. The collection is inspired by heritage, yet intrinsically formed for the future. Copping's reinvention of Jeanne Lanvin's notion of "le chic ultime" is given fresh expression. The collection coincides with the centenary of Lanvin's menswear line, inspiring a modern fusion between masculinities and femininities. Menswear fabrics like crisp wool and flannel are used, while men's shirts are cut in fine wool poplin or silk taffeta. Masculine-inspired jackets are tailored to feminine forms through tucks and darts. Peter Copping was named Artistic Director of Lanvin in 2024, after Bruno Sialelli exited the role in 2019. Copping previously worked at Sonia Rykiel, Louis Vuitton with Marc Jacobs, Nina Ricci, and Oscar de la Renta. Lanvin is trying to re-establish its identity in the luxury market, adding a contemporary edge to its French roots.
