MTV VMAs list Best Latin nominees

MTV’s Video Music Awards account used an X post on Monday, September 7, to spotlight the nominees for Best Latin at the 2026 VMAs and direct fans to the network’s voting site. The post said voting is open and promoted the ceremony’s September 27 broadcast on CBS and Paramount+. MTV’s official voting page for the category says viewers can “see the complete list of 2026 MTV Video Music Awards nominees” and find out who wins on Sunday, September 27, at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT. The Best Latin field includes Anitta, Shakira, Bad Bunny, Fuerza Regida, Karol G, Rosalía and Ryan Castro, according to coverage of MTV’s 2026 nominations list and the category page surfaced by MTV’s voting platform. The social post highlighted the category as part of MTV’s wider push to drive fan voting in the final weeks before the show. (vote.mtv.com) ### Which artists are in the Best Latin race? Anitta, Shakira, Bad Bunny, Fuerza Regida, Karol G, Rosalía and Ryan Castro are listed in reporting on the 2026 VMA nominations and on MTV’s official voting hub for Best Latin. MTV’s category page is the official destination for fan voting, though the page preview available publicly does not display the full nominee list in the search snippet. (vote.mtv.com) Hola’s August 19 nominations roundup reported that those artists were competing for Best Latin at this year’s show. Enstarz’s Spanish-language roundup published the same day listed the same core field and said the category would be decided at the September ceremony. (vote.mtv.com) ### How long is voting open? MTV’s official 2026 VMA voting rules say voting for “All Categories” on vote.mtv.com opened on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern and runs through Friday, September 25, 2026, at 5:59 p.m. Eastern. The rules also say online voting is limited to 10 votes per person, per category, per day, except during designated “Power Hours” and “Double Days.” (hola.com) The same rules say Best New Artist follows a different timeline and remains open until immediately before that award is announced on-air, while Song of Summer and Best Group are handled through Instagram Stories instead of the main voting site. Best Latin is part of the main online ballot. (mtv.com) ### When and where is the ceremony airing? MTV’s voting page says the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards will air on Sunday, September 27, at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT on CBS and stream on Paramount+. MTV’s homepage carries the same date and distribution information in its VMAs promotion. The X post highlighted that same September 27 date as MTV pushed viewers from social media to the ballot page. (mtv.com) The network’s current promotional language frames the voting site as both the nominee list and the main call to action before the broadcast. ### What does this post actually confirm? (vote.mtv.com) Monday’s post confirms that MTV is still actively promoting the Best Latin ballot less than three weeks before the show and that fan voting remains open. The official rules provide the more precise deadline: September 25 at 5:59 p.m. Eastern for most categories, including those hosted on vote.mtv.com. (vote.mtv.com) September 25 is the next concrete date for this category, because that is when regular online voting closes. September 27 is the on-air milestone, when MTV says the 2026 VMAs will be broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount+. (mtv.com)
