SiteGround Launches AI App Builder
Web hosting platform SiteGround has launched Coderick AI, a new tool designed to let small businesses build custom software without technical expertise. The company aims to remove the high cost and complexity barriers that typically prevent small enterprises from developing their own applications.
The new AI app builder, dubbed Coderick AI, officially launched on March 3, 2026. This move positions SiteGround as part of the growing "vibe coding" trend, which allows users to create applications through conversational AI. The platform is designed to take projects from a simple text prompt to a production-ready application capable of handling real-world traffic and users. SiteGround CEO Nikolay Todorov stated, "We are taking the power of custom software development – once reserved for those with deep pockets and technical teams – and putting it directly into the hands of small business owners." The platform uses a combination of large language models, including models from Google and Anthropic, to interpret user requests, plan the application structure, and generate the code. The tool is built to create a wide range of applications beyond simple websites. Examples include internal business tools like CRMs, invoice trackers, staff scheduling apps, and client portals, as well as customer-facing platforms for booking systems or project management. Every application created comes with user authentication, version control, and a responsive design by default. This launch places SiteGround in the rapidly expanding no-code and low-code market, which is projected to reach $187 billion by 2030. Industry analysts predict that by 2026, 70-75% of new applications developed by organizations will use low-code or no-code technologies. SiteGround's strategy integrates the app creation process directly with its core hosting and security infrastructure, aiming to reduce the friction between development and deployment. Pricing for Coderick AI is structured in tiers based on usage credits and the number of projects. The "Essential" plan starts at $10 per month for one project, the "Plus" plan at $20 per month for five projects, and the "Pro" plan at $40 per month for ten projects, with annual billing options available. All paid plans include hosting, custom domain support, and the auto-generation of the application's backend and database.
