TAP Air Portugal Adds Lisbon-Orlando Route
TAP Air Portugal is launching a new direct flight between Lisbon and Orlando, starting in October. The new route expands transatlantic connectivity, offering a new option for travelers between Europe and Florida.
The new service is scheduled to commence on October 29, 2026, and will operate three times per week. This addition will make Orlando the ninth U.S. destination for the Portuguese flag carrier, expanding its growing North American network. Flights will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. TAP will utilize its Airbus A330 family for the route, with the A330-200 scheduled for Monday flights and the newer, more modern A330-900neo for the Thursday and Saturday services. The westbound flight, TP267, is scheduled to depart Lisbon at 12:50 pm and arrive at Orlando International Airport (MCO) at 5:40 pm local time. The return leg, TP268, will depart Orlando at 9:10 pm, arriving back in Lisbon at 10:00 am the following morning. This new route provides one of the few nonstop connections from Central Florida to Southern Europe. It joins a growing roster of direct European flights from MCO, which includes services to Paris, Madrid, Munich, Dublin, London, and Manchester. Orlando will be TAP's second destination in Florida, complementing its existing service to Miami. The airline's other U.S. gateways include New York-JFK, Boston, Washington D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Newark. The expansion reflects a strategic focus on the U.S. market for the Star Alliance member airline. The airline's CEO has emphasized that the carrier cannot hide from the United States, citing the "enormous market potential."
