Caribbean adds flights

Caribbean Airlines is adding 38 extra Trinidad–Tobago flights to handle peak Easter demand and ease the strained airbridge between the islands. (travelandtourworld.com) The move is explicitly aimed at reconnecting families and reducing bottlenecks over the busy holiday window. (travelandtourworld.com)

Between March 27 and April 12, Caribbean Airlines will add 2,584 seats on the Trinidad–Tobago domestic route, with the supplemental services scheduled to operate on ATR 72-600 aircraft. (guardian.co.tt) The capacity increase is explicitly timed to cover the Spiritual Shouter Baptist Liberation holiday weekend and the Easter peak travel period. (103fm.tt) Those additional seats and services are already loaded for sale through Caribbean Airlines’ mobile app, the carrier’s website and its Reservations Call Centre. (103fm.tt) In a recent media briefing Secretary Keigon Denoon said the Tobago House of Assembly sought use of CAL’s Boeing 737s for the route, but the airline clarified the extra services will instead be flown on ATR 72-600 aircraft. (guardian.co.tt) Reginald MacLean, president of the Tobago Tourism and Hotel Association, told media the late timing meant many prospective visitors had already rebooked to alternative destinations such as Barbados, Grenada, Miami or New York. (guardian.co.tt) Government and industry officials pointed to precedent when pressing for extra capacity: CAL added roughly 3,200 seats for Tobago Carnival in October 2025 and reinstated a late-night domestic service effective July 1, 2025.
