Virtuals Protocol Launches Lab for Humanoid Robots
Virtuals Protocol’s robotics division has launched Eastworld Labs, an AI accelerator focused on the real-world deployment of humanoid robots. The initiative aims to create a hybrid society of robots, virtual agents, and humans. The lab will work to scale what it calls the global AI economy of tomorrow.
- Eastworld Labs provides projects with access to a fleet of over 30 full-sized humanoid robots, including the Unitree G1 platform, for direct development and testing. - The accelerator offers a complete support system for humanoid projects, which includes not only physical infrastructure but also funding, distribution, and governance. - A key component of the lab is the integration of the Agent Commerce Protocol (ACP), a marketplace designed for autonomous AI agents to buy and sell services from one another. - This initiative is part of Virtuals Protocol's broader goal to build an "Agentic GDP (aGDP)," which measures the total economic value generated by autonomous AI agents. - Founded in 2021 by Jansen Teng and Tiew Wee Kee (Weekee), Virtuals Protocol aims to create the infrastructure for a decentralized civilization of AI agents. - The protocol's ecosystem includes four main pillars: the Agent Commerce Protocol (ACP), Butler (a human-to-agent interface), Capital Markets for tokenized AI agents, and Virtuals Robotics, which now includes Eastworld Labs. - The broader Virtuals ecosystem already has over 18,000 deployed AI agents, contributing to an "Agentic GDP" valued at over $470 million. - The VIRTUAL token is central to the ecosystem, used for creating liquidity for new agent tokens, paying for transactions, and governance.
