Schools are starting to treat teacher burnout as an operations problem, not a morale problem, by adding coaching, debriefing and mental-health support. WXXI reported on April 21 that the nonprofit frames burnout as part of the teacher-shortage pipeline, not a side issue. The authors said schools were being sustained by “committed but exhausted teachers,” tying the problem to staffing risk as much as personal stress. Healing Schools Project says it builds “cultures of care” through multi-year, schoolwide programs rather than one-off wellness events. Psychological capital is a bundle of work-related confidence, hope, resilience and optimism.
