Creamline is back in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference finals after beating Farm Fresh in four sets on Thursday in San Juan. (pvl.ph, sports.inquirer.net) The Cool Smashers won 25-23, 14-25, 25-23, 25-19 at the Filoil Centre and advanced to face Cignal in a best-of-three championship series that starts Tuesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum. (sports.inquirer.net, pvl.ph) The match turned on the two close sets. Creamline lost a 19-14 lead in the third before Bernadeth Pons, Michele Gumabao and Jema Galanza pushed it back to set point, and Pangs Panaga then delivered a block and a quick attack for a 23-19 edge in the fourth. (sports.inquirer.net) The result closed a three-team semifinal race that had tightened two days earlier, when Cignal beat Creamline in four sets and Farm Fresh upset top-seeded PLDT Home Fiber. Those April 14 results left Creamline and Farm Fresh both at 1-1 and turned Thursday’s opener into a de facto knockout for the last finals berth. (abs-cbn.com, abs-cbn.com) For Creamline, the win extends a run of nine straight All-Filipino finals and sends the club to its 15th Premier Volleyball League finals appearance overall since 2018. It also ends a three-conference finals drought after the team missed the title round in the 2025 PVL on Tour, Invitational and Reinforced Conference. (sports.inquirer.net, spin.ph) For Farm Fresh, the loss ends its first semifinal appearance with a 1-2 record in the round and sends the Foxies to the bronze series against PLDT. The Foxies had reached this decider after beating PLDT on April 14 behind Trisha Tubu’s 28 points. (sports.inquirer.net, abs-cbn.com) The finals pairing revives a recent Creamline-Cignal title matchup. The two clubs last met for a Premier Volleyball League championship in the 2024 Invitational, when Creamline completed its grand slam in a winner-take-all match. (sports.inquirer.net, spin.ph) Creamline’s path back was not clean, but it was enough: one tight first set, one escape in the third, and one closing push in the fourth put the league’s most decorated team back on the last stage again.
