Turbo Pipelines Go No-Code
Build tooling company @goldskyio announced Turbo pipelines now support drag-and-drop configuration with no YAML required, plus JS/TS script support. This represents a major shift toward visual, no-code build pipeline creation for modern web development workflows.
Previously, configuring data pipelines for real-time blockchain data required writing and maintaining YAML files. This approach, while powerful, often led to syntax errors and a steep learning curve for anything beyond simple logic. The move to a visual, drag-and-drop interface is designed to significantly lower the barrier to entry for creating and managing these complex data flows. The introduction of a no-code canvas aligns with a broader industry trend of empowering "citizen developers" – users who are not professional programmers but can build applications and automate workflows using visual tools. This shift aims to reduce the dependency on specialized IT teams for building and modifying data pipelines. While the no-code interface simplifies pipeline creation, the addition of JavaScript and TypeScript scripting provides an escape hatch for developers needing to implement complex, custom transformations. This hybrid approach caters to a wider range of technical abilities, from business analysts to senior engineers. Goldsky's Turbo Pipelines are built on a high-performance Rust engine, capable of processing thousands of records in milliseconds. The new visual editor and scripting capabilities are designed to enhance developer productivity by enabling faster iteration and debugging, without sacrificing the underlying performance needed for real-time blockchain data analysis. This update allows for more dynamic and responsive data workflows. For instance, users can now update filters on a running pipeline to track new wallet addresses or contracts instantly, without needing to redeploy the entire pipeline. The pipelines can stream data from over 130 chains to various destinations like databases, webhooks, and message queues.
