Mumbai gets a two-night stand-up festival this week, with one stage booked entirely by headliners at Dome SVP Stadium in Mahalaxmi. (district.in) The event, called The Comedy Land, runs Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, with a listed start time of 5 p.m. each day in an indoor seated setup. District says the show lasts 5 hours and 30 minutes, is wheelchair accessible, and allows entry only for people 16 and older. (district.in) District and Dome Entertainment describe it as India’s first “all-headliners comedy festival,” with 14 comics across two days and no support-act format. The lineup is split into Day 1 and Day 2 bills rather than a single rolling roster. (district.in) Day 1 lists Gaurav Gupta, Harsh Gujral, Nishant Suri, Jaspreet Singh, Shreya Priyam Roy, Siddhartha Shetty, Mohit Morani, Mangu Singh, and Tushar Basra. Day 2 lists Anubhav Singh Bassi, Ravi Gupta, Atul Khatri, Gurleen Pannu, Swati Sachdeva, Shashi Dhiman, Abijit Ganguly, Naman Jain, and Rohan Gujral. (district.in) That format departs from the usual Mumbai comedy weekender, where one marquee act is often paired with openers or mixed-format sets. District’s event page says this bill is built around “back-to-back headliners delivering their best.” (district.in) The venue is part of the SVP Stadium complex in Worli, on Lala Lajpatrai Marg, a regular stop for large live events in Mumbai. BookMyShow lists Dome, SVP Stadium as an active events venue in the city. (bookmyshow.com) The festival also lands in a month when Mumbai’s comedy calendar is already crowded. Mid-day separately highlighted an alternative comedy showcase in Khar this April featuring acts including Kaneez Surka and Abish Mathew, pointing to a broader push for multi-artist comedy programming rather than only solo specials. (mid-day.com) For audiences, the pitch is simple: two evenings, one room, and a bill stacked with comics who usually sell shows under their own names. Tickets are being sold through District ahead of the April 24 opening night. (district.in)
