Disney World labor deal in the works?
Disney World's largest union is pushing for an $8 hourly wage increase over three years, plus better benefits, impacting labor costs and scheduling Union Steps In to Allow Freedom of Speech for These Cast Members.
The union is seeking an $8 per hour raise over three years, along with improved benefits, for workers at Disney World. Negotiations between the union representing Patina Group employees and management will continue on March 25, 2026. This push for higher wages is part of a broader effort to improve conditions for Disney World workers, some of whom struggle with low pay and rising living costs. In December 2025, supporters of UNITE HERE Local 737 rallied, demanding better conditions for Patina restaurant workers at Disney Springs. An arbitrator recently ruled that the Patina Restaurant Group violated workers' rights by trying to prevent them from wearing union buttons. This decision potentially strengthens the union's negotiating position. The union is also seeking free family health insurance, a better pension, and a 20% automatic gratuity.
