New Guide for Parenting Kids with ADHD Released

A new edition of *8 Keys to Parenting Kids & Teens with ADHD* by Cindy Goldrich, Ed.M., ADHD-CCSP, was released this week. The book provides guidance for parents and professionals on building executive function skills in planning, organization, and emotional self-regulation. The resource is available in eBook, print, and audiobook formats.

- Author Cindy Goldrich is an ADHD Certified Clinical Service Provider and a mental health counselor with a Master's in Education in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University, Teachers College. She is the founder of PTS Coaching, which provides training and support for parents, educators, and clinicians who work with individuals with ADHD. - Goldrich's approach is rooted in her "Calm and Connected" methodology, which is the basis for her parent workshop series available in English, Spanish, and Chinese. This philosophy emphasizes parenting the child you have with empathy and support, rather than focusing on the challenges of the neurobiological difference. - The first edition, titled *8 Keys to Parenting Children with ADHD*, was published in 2015 and won the USA Best Book Awards in both the "Parenting/Family" and "Education/Academic" categories that year. It has since been translated into multiple languages, including Chinese and Arabic. - This new edition expands its focus to include teens and places a greater emphasis on supporting a child's executive function skills. It includes updated research and new strategies for parents. - Beyond her books, Goldrich is an active speaker at national and international conferences for organizations such as CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) and the Learning Disabilities Association of America. She also serves on the board of directors for CHADD. - Through her ADHD Parent Coach Academy, Goldrich trains other professionals to become certified ADHD parent coaches using a curriculum accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). - Goldrich is also the co-author of *ADHD, Executive Function & Behavioral Challenges in the Classroom*, a resource designed to provide teachers with practical tools for supporting neurodiverse students. - She has trained with prominent figures in the field of child psychology and ADHD, including Dr. Edward Hallowell, author of *Driven to Distraction*, and Dr. Ross Greene, originator of the Collaborative & Proactive Solutions model.
