Gabriel Jesus impresses in Barcelona training

Gabriel Jesus featured in training footage circulated on September 8 that showed the Barcelona forward scoring multiple times in drills and taking part in close-control sequences at the club’s training ground. A post from the X account ForBlaugrana highlighted the clips and described the Brazilian as sharp in front of goal. FC Barcelona has not issued a new medical or availability update tied to the footage. The club’s recent official updates show Jesus has already rejoined group work and made his first appearance for Barcelona over the weekend. ### What exactly was in the training footage? The September 8 clips shared by ForBlaugrana showed Jesus finishing repeatedly during a training exercise and completing technical sequences with the ball. The post did not include any statement from Barcelona on his condition, selection status or a target date for a larger role. The account framed the footage as evidence of a strong session rather than an official team announcement. (fcbarcelona.com) A separate set of recent social and short-form video posts tied to Barcelona training has also shown Jesus working with teammates in standard drills, passing patterns and attacking exercises. Those clips are consistent with Barcelona’s own recent training content, though they do not by themselves establish match plans. ### When did Jesus start training with Barcelona? (youtube.com) FC Barcelona said on September 4 that Jesus took part in Thursday’s training session as the squad returned to work after a win over Rayo at Spotify Camp Nou. That club update named Jesus alongside Gavi as players involved in the session ahead of the trip to Mestalla. (tiktok.com) Barcelona’s official player page says the Brazilian made his debut on September 6, coming on late in a 5-0 win at Mestalla and nearly scoring. The same page identifies him as a first-team forward and places him in the 2025/2026 squad listing on the club website. ### What has Barcelona said officially about him so far? Barcelona published a club profile on September 1 introducing Jesus as a new player and outlining his background after what it described as a 10-year career in England. (fcbarcelona.com) Another club article the same day described him as the latest Brazilian striker to join Barça. Those pieces were introductory and did not set out a medical timetable or minutes plan. (fcbarcelona.com) The official material available on September 8 remains limited to player-profile information, the September 4 training note and the September 6 debut reference. None of those club pages says the training clips mark a return from injury or a change in selection status. ### Does the footage tell us whether he is ready for the next match? (fcbarcelona.com) The footage from September 8 shows Jesus participating fully in drills, but Barcelona has not published a same-day squad or availability note linked to those images. Training videos can show involvement and rhythm, but the club’s official updates are the documents that establish whether a player is selected, limited or absent. (fcbarcelona.com) Recent third-party reports have described Jesus as having trained individually before joining teammates and then moving closer to debut. Those reports align with the sequence on Barcelona’s own website, but the club has not attached any new return date or workload detail to Tuesday’s footage. ### Where should readers look next for confirmation? (fcbarcelona.com) FC Barcelona’s official player page for Gabriel Jesus and the club’s first-team news feed are the clearest sources for any next update on selection, training status or match involvement. As of September 8, the latest confirmed milestones are his inclusion in group training on September 4 and his debut appearance on September 6. (fcbarcelona.com) (sports.yahoo.com)
