SXSW 2026 showcases a record number of Latin music acts, more than doubling since 2024, with over 150 artists featured. This surge reflects the growing influence and popularity of Latin music within the global music industry. Major labels are increasingly using SXSW as a platform to highlight their latest Latin talent. The *Los Angeles Times*' Latino vertical, De Los, returns for its third year with a showcase at Mala Fama on March 15th. The De Los showcase will feature Hermanos Espinoza, Vanita Leo, Tropa Magica, Eddy, and Nezza. These artists represent a diverse range of Latin sounds, from norteño and Tejano to cumbia-rock fusion and Regional Mexican. Big Soto, a Venezuelan rapper signed to Rimas Entertainment, is also slated to perform, pioneering the Latin trap movement. Sofish, a rising star from Guadalajara blending French house and Mexican R&B, is also expected to gain traction. The festival serves as a launchpad for discovering the next big names in Latin music.
