12 California Michelin adds

On March 25 the Michelin Guide added 12 California ‘new discoveries’ — six in Los Angeles, five in the Bay Area and one in Montecito ( ). The Guide flagged these spots as likely front‑runners for Michelin stars or Bib Gourmand honors ahead of the full California star announcements later in 2026 ( ).

Los Angeles entrants named on Michelin’s update include Corridor 109, Firstborn, Lapaba, Little Fish Melrose Hill, Lugya’h and Zira Uzbek Kitchen. (guide.michelin.com) San Francisco-peninsula and Montecito additions called out on the Guide are Dingles Public House, La Cigale, Naides, Wolfsbane and Yeobo, Darling, with Little Mountain listed from Montecito. (guide.michelin.com) Corridor 109 is described by Michelin as an intimate 11-seat counter tucked behind Bar 109 that concentrates on fish largely sourced from Japan and served raw. (guide.michelin.com) Yeobo, Darling in Menlo Park is led by chefs Meichih and Michael Kim, who previously operated the Michelin-starred Maum and opened Bao Bei–linked concepts, and the couple’s Menlo Park address is billed as Korean–Taiwanese fine dining. (guide.michelin.com) La Cigale in Glen Park is operating a 15-seat, live-fire dining room with a fixed-price tasting format (reported at about $140) and a no‑tips, all‑inclusive approach noted in local reviews. (guide.michelin.com) The Guide notes new restaurants are added to its Selection twice a year while Stars and Bib Gourmands are revealed at the MICHELIN Guide’s annual ceremony; the 2025 California ceremony took place June 25 in Sacramento, and Michelin had not announced a 2026 ceremony date at the time of this update.
