C.P. Company x Alessi Drop
C.P. Company is collaborating with Alessi for a Milan Design Week launch that pairs homeware reimagined from the Alessi archive with clothing—explicitly linking domestic ritual objects and apparel in a single project. (wallpaper.com).
C.P. Company and Alessi are launching a joint collection at Milan Design Week 2026, pairing archive-based homeware with three new overshirts. (cpcompany.com) The project opens at the C.P. Company showroom on Via G. Fiamma 18 in Milan from April 21 to April 25, 2026, through an installation called “BLEND: The Kinetic Pulse of Italian Industrial Mastery.” C.P. Company said the collection will also go on sale online and in flagship stores from April 21. (cpcompany.com) Wallpaper reported the homeware side reworks Alessi classics by Richard Sapper, Jean Nouvel and Enzo Mari, while the apparel side adds three versions of C.P. Company’s Nylon B overshirt. The three overshirt colors are “Total Eclipse,” “Malachite” and a third new shade tied to the drop. (wallpaper.com) Lorenzo Osti, C.P. Company’s director and the son of founder Massimo Osti, told Wallpaper he first doubted the fit because Alessi’s steel objects looked “too polished and refined” for the brand’s garment-dyed sportswear. He said a visit to Alessi’s factory changed his view after he saw a shared focus on materials that mark, age and change with use. (wallpaper.com) That overlap starts with the companies themselves. Alessi says it began in Omegna in 1921 as a metal workshop founded by Giovanni Alessi and his brother, while C.P. Company says Massimo Osti founded Chester Perry in 1971 before renaming it C.P. Company in 1978. (alessi.com) (cpcompany.com) Alessi has long treated old designs as a living catalog, not a sealed archive. The company says its Archivio line draws directly from designs preserved in the Alessi Museum at its Crusinallo di Omegna factory, where more than 25,000 artifacts are kept. (alessi.com 1) (alessi.com 2) The timing is tied to Milan Design Week, which runs across the city from April 19 to April 26, 2026, and turns brand launches into public exhibitions. C.P. Company’s installation sits inside that wider calendar of design fairs, showroom events and off-site debuts. (designweekguide.com) The collaboration circles back to the factory language both brands are leaning on this week: steel for Alessi, garment dyeing and technical nylon for C.P. Company. In Milan, they are selling both as objects meant to pick up wear, fingerprints and patina over time. (cpcompany.com) (wallpaper.com)
