RedCloud Activates Agentic AI Layer Across 100k Customers

Global trade technology company RedCloud has surpassed 100,000 customers and announced the activation of its agentic AI infrastructure. The AI layer will be deployed across its network of retailers, wholesalers, and distributors to optimize global trade.

RedCloud's platform focuses on the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, particularly in emerging markets like Nigeria, and has facilitated over $6.91 billion in trade value to date. The company provides its network of over 6,700 brands with market intelligence and an embedded finance layer for payments and lending. This addresses a market where trade has traditionally relied on fragmented systems and manual coordination. The "agentic AI" layer moves beyond simple analytics by embedding intelligence directly into the transaction process. This allows for autonomous optimization of inventory, working capital allocation, and demand forecasting. The goal is to shift global trade from a reactive to an autonomous model, reducing reliance on manual processes like spreadsheets and phone calls. Founded by serial entrepreneur Justin Floyd, RedCloud aims to create an "operating system for high-growth trade economies." The company's leadership team also includes co-founders Soumaya Hamzaoui (COO) and Hans Rudolf Kunz, who previously spent over two decades at Bear Stearns. Despite its growth in customers and transaction volume, RedCloud faces financial challenges, reporting a net margin of -110.28% and an operating margin of -103.06%. The company, with a market capitalization of $42.68 million, recently projected $120 million in revenue for 2026, a 20% increase from previous guidance, following a reported $53.7 million in 2025 revenue. The company has previously mentioned integrating technologies like blockchain to enhance traceability and transparency within supply chains. Its open commerce platform is designed to digitalize supply chains and has operations in markets across Africa and Latin America. This positions it within the broader trend of tokenizing real-world assets (RWA) to improve liquidity and efficiency in traditional markets.
