Navigara Launches AI Performance Layer with $2.5M
Navigara has launched what it calls a "performance layer" for enterprise engineering, backed by $2.5 million in funding. The tool aims to help leaders measure whether adopting new AI tools actually improves team performance and delivers a positive ROI.
The $2.5 million seed round was led by Inovo.vc, with Rockaway Ventures and QQ Capital participating. The new funding is aimed at accelerating product development and expanding Navigara's engineering and go-to-market teams to meet enterprise demand. Navigara was co-founded in 2025 by CEO Jirka Bachel, a former CTO, and Peter Malina. The company is headquartered in San Francisco but maintains its engineering operations in Prague. The platform integrates directly with version-control systems like GitHub and GitLab, as well as tools like Jira and Linear. It uses AI agents to analyze code quality, delivery velocity, and alignment with product goals, translating development activity into performance metrics without retaining the source code. This addresses a key pain point for engineering leaders: distinguishing whether AI tools are truly accelerating delivery or just increasing code volume. The market is grappling with this measurement challenge, as some studies show AI boosting productivity by up to 45% on specific tasks, while others indicate it can slow experienced developers down. Investor Petr Šmíd of Rockaway Ventures noted that after the initial wave of AI adoption, it's time to distinguish what truly creates value. He cited the founder's technical expertise and vision for international growth as key factors for their investment. The company's founding history has seen some turmoil. A blog post from a former CTO describes a 2025 pivot that shifted the company's focus from "we help developers" to "we measure developers," leading to significant team changes.
