Anthropic Launches Claude Marketplace

Anthropic just announced the Claude Marketplace, a new platform for enterprise procurement of AI tools, which is now in a limited preview. The move aims to simplify how businesses discover and integrate cutting-edge LLMs and related applications into their development and operational workflows.

The Claude Marketplace is launching with six initial partners, including developer-focused platforms GitLab, Replit, and Snowflake. This move provides a centralized procurement hub for enterprises to purchase and deploy Claude-powered applications, using their existing Anthropic spending commitments to pay for third-party tools. For partners, the marketplace offers direct distribution to Anthropic's enterprise client base. For software engineers, the Replit integration enables the use of natural language to build and deploy production-grade software. The platform offers specific "skills" that provide standardized patterns for deploying applications to services like Vercel, Fly.io, and Google Cloud Run, automating tasks like secret management and configuration file generation. Another skill streamlines building robust cloud integrations by enforcing best practices like automated retries and structured error handling in TypeScript and Python. The GitLab integration embeds Claude's AI capabilities directly into the software development lifecycle. Developers can use Claude to automate merge request creation, turn issues into code, and perform code reviews, all within their existing GitLab workflows and CI/CD pipelines. The integration is enterprise-ready, supporting self-hosted GitLab instances and allowing the use of Claude models through AWS Bedrock or Google Vertex AI for data residency and compliance needs. Snowflake's integration allows developers to use "Cortex Agents" powered by Claude to interact with and analyze enterprise data within Snowflake's secure environment. This enables building applications that can reason over both structured and unstructured data using natural language queries that translate to complex text-to-SQL tasks. Thousands of Snowflake customers were already processing trillions of Claude tokens monthly through Snowflake Cortex AI prior to the marketplace launch. This marketplace launch builds on Anthropic's earlier enterprise updates, such as the February 2026 release of private plugin marketplaces for its Claude Cowork platform. While private marketplaces allow companies to build and securely distribute their own internal tools and AI agents, the public Claude Marketplace provides a catalog of vetted, third-party, enterprise-grade applications. Anthropic is not taking a commission from sales on the marketplace, a move designed to incentivize more developers and startups to build their applications using Claude models. Developers building Claude-powered products aimed at enterprise scale and security can apply to join the marketplace partner waitlist.
