Paris Baguette Opens New Texas Location

Global bakery café chain Paris Baguette opened a new location in Richardson, Texas, on February 27. The opening is part of the brand's rapid U.S. expansion, which now includes over 4,000 units worldwide. The new café is located on Campbell Rd. in the Dallas area.

The new Richardson location is the 25th Paris Baguette in Texas, operated by two local couples who have signed a five-unit development agreement. The franchisees, Sweta Goyal, Puneet Mittal, Mamta Singhal, and Rajneesh Singhal, were longtime fans of the brand before deciding to become business partners. This opening is part of an aggressive North American expansion strategy, with a goal of reaching 1,000 stores in the U.S. and 100 in Canada by 2030. The company aims to open 150 new locations in 2026 alone, which would bring its total to over 400 in North America. To support this rapid growth, Paris Baguette's parent company, SPC Group, is investing $160 million in a new 260,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Burleson, Texas. The plant, expected to begin production in 2027, will supply the expanding network of cafes and create 450 jobs. The South Korean-based chain has experienced significant momentum, with 19 consecutive quarters of positive same-store sales growth reported as of early 2026. In 2025, the company opened 77 new cafes and signed nearly 300 new development agreements. However, parent company SPC Group has faced significant controversy in South Korea regarding workplace safety and labor practices. These issues include multiple worker fatalities at its factories, leading to public boycotts and criticism of the company's treatment of employees.
