A 1996 study showed that individuals doing a four-minute cycling protocol five times a week improved their VO2 max by 15% in six weeks. More than three-quarters of employers offer wellness programs, with popular options including physical activity and weight management. Companies with effective wellness plans are 40% more likely to report better financial performance. While HIIT's popularity remains strong, some data indicates a possible plateau or even decline in participation in high-intensity formats. There's a growing focus on balanced fitness routines that emphasize strength, coordination, and mind-body activities.
