Bruno Mars' last solo album, *24K Magic*, debuted with 231,000 units back in 2016. The 180,000-unit opening for *The Romantic* demonstrates his sustained drawing power nearly a decade later and marks his second number-one album. His previous chart-topper was 2012's *Unorthodox Jukebox*. The success of *The Romantic* was bolstered by its lead single, "I Just Might," which had already topped seven different Billboard charts, including the Radio Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts, prior to the album's release. The strong launch of Styles' new album placed every one of its songs within the Top 25 of the Spotify Global Chart. With the success of "American Girls" and other album tracks, Styles now holds the three biggest song debuts of 2026 on the platform. BTS's 4 million pre-saves for *ARIRANG* make them the first male group and first Asian act to hit that milestone. The only artist to have achieved more pre-saves is Taylor Swift, with her album *The Life Of A Showgirl* holding the all-time record. For context, the 4.02 million pre-saves for *ARIRANG* are nearly double the figures for Harry Styles' *Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.* (2.05M) and Bruno Mars' *The Romantic* (2.04M). The album held the top spot on Spotify's Countdown Chart for seven straight weeks leading up to its release.
