Palm Beach Gets French Riviera Vibes

The newly renovated Vineta Hotel in Palm Beach opened Coco's restaurant, serving French Riviera-inspired Mediterranean cuisine. The stylish spot features a 64-seat dining room and 32-seat courtyard, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant aims to capture the elegant, coastal atmosphere of the French Riviera.

The newly opened Vineta Hotel is a return to the property's roots, reviving a name it held for over 50 years. The building, an example of Mediterranean Revival architecture, first opened in 1926 as the Lido-Venice before quickly being renamed The Vineta. For decades, it was a Palm Beach staple before becoming The Chesterfield in 1989, a name it held until closing in 2022. The hotel is the first U.S. property for the esteemed European hospitality group Oetker Collection, known for iconic hotels like Le Bristol Paris and Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. The acquisition and renovation were handled in partnership with the Reuben Brothers, who purchased the property for $42 million. The opening marks a significant entry of international luxury brands into the Palm Beach market. A top-to-bottom renovation was led by Paris-based interior designer Tino Zervudachi. As part of the redesign, the hotel's room count was reduced from 53 to 41 to create more spacious accommodations. The historic pale-pink façade remains, while interiors now feature a blend of European elegance and a fresh Palm Beach aesthetic. The restaurant, Coco's, is led by Executive Chef Brian Rodriguez and draws culinary inspiration from its sister hotel on the French Riviera, the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. The menu will feature both new dishes and guest favorites from the South of France property's acclaimed restaurants. A more casual poolside bistro offers another dining option.
