Guns N' Roses New Singles

Guns N' Roses dropped two new singles, "Nothin'" and "Atlas," marking their latest studio output after years. The release of new material from such a storied band is a major event for longtime fans and speaks to the group's enduring creativity decades into their career.

The two new tracks, like other recent singles "Absurd," "Hard Skool," "Perhaps," and "The General," originate from the sessions for the band's 2008 album, *Chinese Democracy*. These songs were conceived during that era and have now been reworked and feature contributions from reunited classic lineup members Slash and Duff McKagan. "Atlas" is reportedly the track formerly known among hardcore fans as "Atlas Shrugged," which leaked in demo form in 2019. An early version of the song is said to have featured Queen's Brian May. Less is known about "Nothin'," though a rough demo also leaked in 2019 under the working title "Nothing." These releases continue a trend of the band unearthing and completing older material since Slash and McKagan's return in 2016. Prior to this new wave of singles, Guns N' Roses had not released new music since *Chinese Democracy*. The band released the four-song EP "Hard Skool" in 2022. The current Guns N' Roses lineup includes Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan, alongside longtime members Richard Fortus (rhythm guitar), and keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese. In March 2025, Isaac Carpenter was confirmed as the band's new drummer. While fans remain eager for a full-length album of entirely new material, guitarist Slash has indicated that while there is "so much material," the band's creative process is spontaneous and cannot be planned. Both "Nothin'" and "Atlas" are slated to be added to the setlists for their 2026 world tour.
