Legal Tech Firm Casepoint Hires CPO
AI-powered legal tech platform Casepoint has named Pete Feinberg as its new Chief Product Officer. The hire of a 20-year enterprise SaaS veteran signals the company's ambition to accelerate platform development for corporate legal and compliance teams.
Pete Feinberg previously served as Chief Product Officer at Consilio, a major player in legal technology and services. His experience also includes senior product leadership roles at enterprise software companies Blackboard, GTT, and Vovici (Verint). The move comes as Casepoint continues to expand its AI-powered platform, which helps legal and compliance teams manage tasks like eDiscovery, legal holds, and internal investigations. The company's platform is designed to handle the entire discovery process, from data preservation and collection to review and production. Casepoint has a significant focus on the public sector, holding contracts with major government agencies. Notably, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently renewed its five-year contract with the company. The company emphasizes its security credentials, holding a Department of Defense (DOD) Impact Level 6 (IL6) authorization, a level of security it shares with only a handful of major tech companies like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. It also recently completed a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 self-assessment. In 2024, Casepoint was named "Overall LegalTech Data Solution Provider of the Year" and joined the U.S. Department of Commerce's AI Safety Institute Consortium to contribute to the development of safe and trustworthy AI. The platform can handle over 600 data types, including data from large language models (LLMs). Feinberg holds a mechanical engineering degree from Virginia Tech and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
