Namadgi National Park, covering almost half of the ACT, features over 170 kilometers of walking trails for all skill levels. These trails include access to the Australian Alps Walking Track, as well as historical sites like restored huts and homesteads. The park's diverse landscape ranges from grasslands and forests to mountain streams and granite cliffs. Popular trails include the easy Mount Franklin Heritage Walk and the more challenging climb to Booroomba Rocks. Namadgi is part of the Australian Alps and connects to Kosciuszko National Park in NSW and the Alpine National Park in Victoria. Visitors should be prepared for changing mountain weather and can hire personal locator beacons from the visitor center.
